DHAKA: Indian PM Manmohan Singh said that Pakistan must prevent that "the epicenter of terrorism" before talks with his Pakistani counterpart, Nawaz Sharif.
Also, Mr. Singh stressed that Mr Sharif hopes to better relations between the two Asian rivals together.
Previously called their meeting in New York, Mr. Sharif for a "new beginning" with Delhi.
The bilateral relations have been strained over continued deadly clashes in the disputed region of Kashmir.
On Thursday, at least ten people were killed when militants stormed a police station and an army camp in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Delhi is also Pakistan-based militants for the deadly attacks in Mumbai 2008 blamed Islamabad urge to punish the perpetrators.

"Progress is made, it is imperative that the area not used by Pakistan and areas under its control for aiding or abetting or inciting terrorism," Mr Singh said in a speech at the UN General Assembly on Saturday.
"It is equally important that the terrorist machinery, which draws her nourishment from Pakistan are shut down."
Mr Singh also said he replies Mr Sharif hopes for better relations, but stressed that Delhi Kashmir is regarded as "an integral part of India".
Kashmir is divided by the line of demarcation between India and Pakistan.
India has worked concerned perceived links to radical Islamic groups in Pakistan in the past of Mr Sharif, say correspondents.
In his speech at the UN, Mr Sharif said he sought a "purposeful"dialogue with Mr Singh in their meeting Sunday on the margins of the General Assembly.
"Our two countries have wasted vast resources into an arms race. We these resources could be used for the economic well-being of our people, '' he said.
Despite the strained relations between the two countries may be it an opening, the BBCs Nick Bryant in New York reports.
Mr Singh, 81, will be elections expected next year, and this could be his last chance, the halt to revive the troubled peace process, our correspondent says.
Mr Sharif swept to power in May with promises to improve relations with India.
