DHAKA: With the High Court stay order for the construction of Rampal search power plant on Sunday, a writ petition was filed.

Later he told journalists that the hearing is held in the HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and justice Jafar Ahmed on Monday.
The petitioner sought a rule, the authorities concerned on a Committee, consisting of form of national and international experts to assess the environmental impact of the planned power plant.
In the script, it sought the injunction to stay the construction of the plant to the report of the Committee on the impact of the project on the environment.
The four petitioners are advocating Asaduzzaman Siddiqui, MD Abayomi Uddin Bhuiyan, Nigel Islam and Sayeda Shaheen ARA Nirmal.
Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Secretary, planning Secretary, State Secretary of the environment, force and Secretary of energy, Secretary of the shipping, Environment Department were power plant project Manager Director General, Bangladesh of power Development Board, Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner and Rampal defendants in the petition.
The stone of the 1300-MW power plant be set to be the foundation stone on July 22.
In the meantime raised their voices against the power plant environmental activists and social workers and hundreds of them staged a long March from Dhaka, Rampal, to save the Sundarbans.
